How to use MilkShelf
MilkShelf is where you'll set up and manage your milk order with The Whipped Creamery. From signing up for your first pickup to changing your milk quantity, adding products, or scheduling a vacation, you'll come back to MilkShelf whenever you need to make changes to your order.
This guide will walk you through the signup process first, then show you how to manage your order once you're a member.
Signing Up for MilkShelf
Step 1: Enter Your Phone Number
Start by entering the phone number you want connected to your MilkShelf account.
This is important because your phone number is what you'll use to return to MilkShelf and access your account when you need to make changes to your order.
Once you enter your number, you'll be taken to The Whipped Creamery's MilkShelf signup page.
Step 2: Fill Out Your Pickup Information
You'll now see the MilkShelf signup form for The Whipped Creamery.
This is where you'll set up the basics of your milk order, including:
- Your contact information
- Your pickup location
- Your pickup day
- How much milk you'd like
- Any available add-ons you'd like to order
- Your preferred start date
Take your time and make sure everything looks correct before continuing.
When you're finished, click Save My Pickup.
Step 3: Confirm Your Pickup
After you click Save My Pickup, MilkShelf will show you the information you've entered so you can review it.
Check your pickup location, schedule, milk quantity, and any products you've selected.
If everything looks right, continue to confirm your pickup.
Step 4: Agree to the Terms & Herdshare Agreement
Once your pickup information has been confirmed, you'll be prompted to complete the membership portion of the signup process.
You'll review and agree to the MilkShelf Terms of Service and then review and agree to The Whipped Creamery Herdshare Agreement.
Please read these agreements before accepting them. They explain the terms of using MilkShelf and your membership in our herdshare.
Step 5: Pay Your Herdshare Membership Fee
After you've completed the agreements, you'll be prompted to enter your payment information.
The $50 Herdshare Membership Fee is a one-time fee. This is separate from your weekly milk and product purchases.
Enter your card information and complete the payment.
Once your membership is complete, you're officially part of The Whipped Creamery herdshare.
You're In!
Once you've finished signing up, MilkShelf becomes your home base for managing your milk order.
You'll return to MilkShelf using the same phone number whenever you need to make changes to your order, such as changing your milk quantity, adding products, or scheduling vacation dates.

Making Changes to Your MilkShelf Order
Need more milk? Less milk? Going on vacation? Want to add some yogurt or cream to your order?
You can make these changes yourself through MilkShelf. Here's exactly how to get back into your account and make changes.
Step 1: Enter Your Phone Number
Go back to the MilkShelf page and enter the same phone number you used when you signed up.
Your phone number is how MilkShelf finds your subscription, so make sure you use the same number every time.
Click Find My Subscription.
Step 2: Click "Edit My Subscription"
Once MilkShelf finds your account, you'll see your current subscription information.
Click Edit My Subscription.
This will take you to the page where you can make changes to your milk order and pickup schedule.
Step 3: Change How Much Milk You Get
Find Number of Jars.
Use the dropdown menu to choose how many jars you'd like to receive at each pickup.
Want more milk? Increase the number.
Using less? Decrease the number.
Your new amount will apply according to the schedule shown in MilkShelf.
Step 4: Add Something to Your Order
Scroll down to Add-ons.
If there are additional products available that week, you'll see them listed here.
You can choose to have an add-on included with every pickup or choose it for just your next pickup, depending on the product and options available.
This is where you'll find things like yogurt, cream, chocolate milk, and other available dairy products.
Step 5: Going on Vacation?
Use Vacation Dates!
If you're going to be away and don't need your milk for a few pickups, you don't need to cancel or pause your subscription.
Find Vacation Dates and enter the first and last pickup dates you want to skip.
Your milk will automatically resume after your vacation dates are finished.
Important!
Do not use "Pause" just because you're going on vacation.
MilkShelf's pause option gives up your spot in the herdshare. Because our milk availability is limited, your spot may be offered to someone on the waitlist and may not be available when you return.
Vacation dates allow you to skip the pickups you don't need while keeping your spot.
Step 6: Need to Stop Getting Milk?
If you truly want to stop your recurring milk order rather than temporarily skip it, you'll see a Status option where you can manage your subscription.
Before pausing, remember that pausing gives up your current spot. If we're at capacity when you want to return, you may need to join the waitlist.
If you're only taking a temporary break, use Vacation Dates instead.
Step 7: Change Your Pickup Information
Your MilkShelf account also contains your pickup information.
If you need to change your pickup day or other pickup details, make the appropriate changes on the subscription page.
Please make changes before our weekly order cutoff so we have time to prepare your order for the correct day and location.
Step 8: Save Your Changes
Once you've made all of your changes, scroll to the bottom and click Save My Pickup.
Your changes aren't complete until you save them.
After saving, take a quick look at your updated information to make sure everything is correct.
That's It!
You don't need to contact us every time you want to change your milk order.
MilkShelf is designed so you can manage your own subscription whenever your family's needs change.
Remember:
More milk → Change your number of jars
Less milk → Change your number of jars
Want an extra product → Add an add-on
Going on vacation → Use Vacation Dates
Want to permanently give up your spot → Pause your subscription
Finished making changes → Click Save My Pickup
